Dustin graduated from the University of Alberta’s Master of Science in Physical Therapy Program after completing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. Dustin is a certified Kinetacore Functional Dry Needling (commonly referred to as “IMS” or “Intramuscular Stimulation”) practitioner and has found this treatment method to be highly effective in his practice. As a Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) trained therapist, Dustin focuses on movement as a primary diagnostic tool. Dustin’s special interests include working with recreational to elite level athletes as evidenced by his experience as the primary traveling therapist for the men’s Canadian Alpine Ski Team from 2013-2016. Based out of the Winsport Medicine Clinic in Calgary his role included a heavy focus on pre-season movement screening as well as return to sport planning after injury. As a former alpine ski racer and Quadra Island resident Dustin is happy to be raising his young family in Campbell River where he can pursue his running, biking and skiing passions.
