Active Living is STILL offering Telerehab (video) Physio & Kinesiology! 


We are open for in-person appointments, but will continue to offer Telerehab via video for those who wish to stay home during these times or are otherwise unable to make it to in-person appointments. This may be due to illness, inclement weather, or feeling uncomfortable pursuing in-person appointments. Choose from either a 30 or 60 minute secure video appointment, with the physiotherapist or kinesiologist of your choice.

BALANCE AND BONES Class


A 7-week fall prevention, strength and education program for seniors, led by Kinesiologist Robyn Smalley


Designed to reduce the risk of falls, maintain bone health and prolong independence for the aging population. Exercises will focus on balance and strength. Ideal for those 70+ with independent mobility. Space for 6 in-person participants. $140 +GST

MASKS are still MANDATORY in all areas of the clinic, as per the BC Health Restrictions regarding 'health care settings' (link here). The BC College of Physical Therapists, states we are a 'health care setting'.

HYDROTHERAPY (POOL) Class


Individual exercise program in a small group setting (max 4 people), led by a kinesiologist.

Great for people with low mobility, weight-bearing restrictions, arthritis or chronic conditions. 


Choose Tuesdays OR Wednesdays, 10am-11am OR 11am-12noon.

$100 +GST for 4 classes.

GLAD Osteoarthritis Class


A 7-week class for those experiencing pain or stiffness in hips or knees, which may be symptoms of osteoarthritis.


Designed to teach patients the right way to move to reduce symptoms of hip or knee osteoarthritis pain or stiffness, learn to be more active and take less time away from work. Led by Robyn Smalley, Kinesiologist. Space for 6 in-person participants.

$270+ GST for 14 classes.

Moving with Parkinson's


Campbell River's ONLY Parkinson's specific exercise class.


Moving with Parkinson's is a 6-week activity and education program designed to help reduce the effects of Parkinson's and help maintain muscle strength, control and function. Class will run in-person (max of 8 people)


Taught by Robyn Smalley, Kinesiologist, specialized in Parkinson's specific exercises.

Learn to Run Clinics


Our running clinics are offered in the Spring and Fall. We offer a "Learn to Run 5km" option and a "Progress to 10km" option. Our programs are popular and provide a safe and easy introduction to the sport of running with a 12 week gradual progression. Programs include running specific strength exercises prior to each run; strengthening helps prevent injury while increasing running volume. We also discuss multiple educational topics including running form/technique, proper warm ups/stretches, rest vs. recovery, and more throughout the clinic.

Nordic Pole Walking Class


Learn how to walk with Nordic Poles in a small, supportive group class. Instruction includes how to properly fit and use your poles. 


Benefits of Pole Walking include: improved balance, endurance, use of upper body, arms and core strength, a fun way of exercising! Progressive endurance over 6 weeks.

Hypopressives Class Series


Hypo what? Hypopressives is a series of exercises that use the body's fascia system to recruit muscles of the pelvic floor, abdominal wall and respiratory diaphragm to retain inner core function. 


Suitable for women or men with incontinence (leaking), pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis recti, umbilical or sports hernia, women needing gentle post-partum strengthening, anyone with low back pain.


Taught by Sonja de Milliano, Registered Physiotherapist and Hypopressives Level II Instructor.

NEW! Buddy and Pairs Kinesiology Sessions! 


Active Living Physiotherapy now offers Kinesiologist-guided work outs with a friend or family member! Buddies keep you ACCOUNTALBLE and make things FUN and AFFORDABLE!


The Kinesiologist will discuss individual goals and provide exercises to complete together or independently. Sessions are suitable for clients focusing on general fitness, injury recovery or injury prevention.


Cost is $50+GST per person, for a 60 minute session.
